From preparing data and charts to assessing process quality, stability and capability.
What does it mean?
Statistical analysis helps us understand how a process behaves: what results it achieves, how much it varies, when unusual observations occur and whether it meets requirements. Calculations alone are not enough. Results must be combined with knowledge of the process and presented in a way that supports decisions.
Aim of the training
Participants learn to prepare data, select suitable charts and analyses, and draw conclusions about the process being studied. They work on practical examples in Statystyka.
The training moves from describing data through assessing process quality and stability to evaluating measurements and more complex relationships. The range of methods depends on the selected training version.
Who is the training for?
The training is intended for:
- quality department staff,
- continuous improvement staff,
- process engineers and technologists,
- people carrying out Lean Six Sigma projects,
- people analyzing production and measurement data.
Training organization
The training can last one, two or three days. Each additional day extends the range of analyses. The program and the time devoted to individual tools are adapted to the experience of the participants and the data available from their company.
Example training program
Day 1 - describing and visualizing data
- Preparing and organizing data.
- Basic process characteristics.
- Data distribution and variation.
- Histogram, boxplot, dot plot and interval plot.
- Time series plot and Multi-Vari chart.
- Drawing conclusions from graphical analysis.
Day 2 - process quality and stability
- Defective products and defects.
- Pareto chart.
- Comparing the results of two processes.
- Selecting SPC control charts.
- SPC charts for continuous and discrete data.
- Recognizing changes and special causes.
- Process capability - Cp and Cpk.
Day 3 - measurements and relationships
- Reliability of measurement data.
- MSA Type 1, Gage R&R and attribute MSA.
- Comparing the results of several groups.
- ANOVA and residual analysis.
- Correlation and regression.
- Combining analysis results into conclusions about the process.
Training cost
The price of dedicated training is agreed individually, depending on the selected version and scope of exercises. Use of Statystyka is free.
