SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) is the method of Quick Change Over or one can say Change Over in Single Minutes.
It seems to be weird, but one needs to start with - what is Change Over (short CO) and how to measure time of CO? In the theoretical-practical part the trainees will learn tools, which enable them to analyze CO, e.g. spaghetti diagram, observation card, yamazumi diagram. I will present to participants, what are the stages of CO and what are main methods to decrease the time of CO. In addition trainees will learn how CO influences production planning and stock levels in the value stream.
The practice is showing that usually the CO time can be reduced about 30% but there are also cases where one can reach more than 50% improvement.
In the practical part (workshop part) trainees will do analysis of real CO process in the affiliate company or in the plant of trainees or – in the worst case – based on video material.
The training is dedicated to:
The training depend on arrangements can take from 1 to 2 days. Ask for training agenda.
Each training is adjusted to customer needs, so the pricing of dedicated training is calculated individually. Ask for more details.
The guarantee of the quality of the training is my commitment. If the intended reduction of the changeover time and/or the test results of participants is below 70% I undertake to reduce the training price by a maximum of 30% of the initial amount (in accordance with the arrangements made with the client).
