The Beer Game is a simulation game. Don’t let the name fool you. The least important thing in this game is beer. The most important aspect is to show the connections in a supply chain consisting of four links: Retailer, Wholesaler, Distributor, and Factory.
Participants can see how their individual decisions, often made without full knowledge, affect the entire supply chain. The game demonstrates the so-called bullwhip effect, which causes an increase in inventory and backlog in the supply chain, with this increase being many times greater than the original increase in demand. Depending on the arrangements, the game can include 2 to 4 rounds. In each round, further improvements can be introduced. The goal of the game is to achieve the lowest possible cost in the entire supply chain.
Additionally, the best solution is when 2 teams play, as this introduces a healthy spirit of competition. It is a very good idea to invite suppliers and/or customers to the training so they can take on their roles in the simulation.
The training is dedicated to:
The training, depending on the arrangements, can last from 4 to 8 hours. Ask for training agenda.
Each training is adjusted to customer needs, so the pricing of dedicated training is calculated individually. Ask for more details.
